Hi All, a wonderful day ahead of us! In intranet computing, you need to at least have a server running with the appropriate services installed for it to work, you can then have clients availing of services from the said server. The most popular servers to date are still MS Windows Servers for the sheer easiness of deployment, management and configuration, I could rant all day and say that Windows Serve is the best server to use but, then again, to be a better and more-rounded Network and Systems Administrator you must open your mind to different technologies. In the world of Mac, Apple has a Mac Server and in the world of open source computing we have Linux, Solaris and BSD’s. (more…)

And once you’ve downloaded, the image let’s now start working with it but first you must have an environment to work with and so you could get a new machine, burn the image into a DVD and start installing or there’s a better, safer and almost zero-cost way to use Windows Server 2008-using virtual machines…you can start off by using Virtualbox or Virtual PC or any virtual machine software you feel like using… you can refer back to my personal fan page for virtualization technology… (more…)
